Continuing Education & Certification Training
Is knowledgeable of the brain injury long term supports and services, and how to use them to assure maximum participation in the home and community for each person served. Ensures that all residential LST/pantry/housekeeping employees adhere to the policies and procedures of the facility and that the Community Residence is in compliance with all regulations/standards governing Woods Services. Collaborates with Health & Wellness staff on any and all physical health issues of persons served as soon as they become evident. Plans and implements Community residence activities and supports those served to ensure attendance at program functions including off and on grounds medical appointments. Ensures that the daily program of the person served is consistent with their goals and maximizes participation in home and community activities. Assist in maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff by following safety policies and procedures and reporting hazardous situations in the appropriate manner.

The online exam requires you to always have your video camera and audio on. In-person exam dates are by appointment at the PSU Abington Campus. The entire 100 hours of training is offered in a condensed weekend format, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Penn State DuBois Outreach delivers continuing education for health care professionals, administrators, and/or direct staff members who must meet continuing education requirements.
